As the fifth generation of the Gemmill family in the firm you could say the law is in his blood. His great-great grandfather established the firm in 1870, and the Gemmill family has built up an enviable reputation for taking excellent care of their clients over the years.
Educated at Glasgow Academy and the University of Glasgow, he has over 25 years experience of dealing with property and personal legal matters. He prides himself on his prompt and thorough response to his clients' needs wherever that may take him. He considers all clients of the firm to be part of an extended family and whether it is moving house, winding up an estate, wills or tax planning he is known to provide a friendly and approachable service.
Tommy has specialised for many years now in advising Camelot winners on how to avoid legal and taxation pitfalls of a big win. As such he has clients from Shetland to Stranraer. He is also heavily involved as the Scottish legal adviser to the Express Newspaper Group. Tommy is the Secretary to the Board of Governors at The Glasgow Academy and as well as a passion for all sorts of travel, he enjoys curling and golf.
